Privacy Policy
Helix SQL is developed, operated, and maintained by Jetley Consulting Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy describes the personal information we handle on gethelixsql.com and in the Helix SQL application for macOS.
The website
gethelixsql.com is a marketing site. You can read it without creating an account. We do not ask you to register, and we do not set advertising or analytics cookies.
If you email support@gethelixsql.com, we use your address and the contents of your message to reply, to administer TestFlight access, and to keep a record of support requests. We keep that correspondence for as long as we need it to support you and to meet our legal obligations.
The site is hosted on Vercel. The host may process ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, in order to deliver and protect the site. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.
The Helix SQL application
Helix SQL is a native Mac client. It runs on your computer and connects to the SQL Server instances you choose. We do not operate an account service for the application, and the current version does not include third-party analytics or crash reporting.
- Connection history is stored locally on your Mac so you can reconnect without retyping server details.
- If you turn on Remember password, that password is stored in the macOS Keychain on that Mac. It is not sent to us.
- SQL you write, and the results your server returns, travel only between Helix SQL and the database server you connect to. We do not receive your queries or result sets.
Microsoft Entra ID
When you connect with Microsoft Entra MFA, sign-in opens in your web browser and is completed with Microsoft. Helix SQL does not receive your Microsoft password. Microsoft’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that sign-in. After you authenticate, the Microsoft data client used by Helix SQL holds the access token required to reach SQL Server.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context advertising. We do not use it to train machine-learning models.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to exceptions the law allows. Email support@gethelixsql.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Helix SQL is a professional database tool for engineers and database administrators. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
